4 years ago, God inserted this seed in my spirit. He planted it. But I was in the wrong environment, I was around destiny killers. Some were good people, but not apart of my destiny. It’s like a garden with beautiful flowers, but there are certain flowers that cannot grow next to each other because of the capacity of the other. For a very very long time, I couldn’t move. Because what God had put in me had to be in the right soil and had to be watered with His water and to grow by His Spirit. 4 years ago I was stuck and I couldn’t move, yet it’s something about when God makes a decree. And something that seems out of our control, He’s in control of.

I love how one can only be moved by the Spirit when they are led, submitted and yielded to it, that is the Sprit of God. I love how Joseph yielded to the Lord in an earthly decree orchestrated by God and because Mary was partnered with him, they were birthing a destiny as Luke 2 reveals. Even in this, I’m so grateful that I found myself. Though for many years, much of me was delayed by what I allowed, accepted, feared and honestly a void of language. But in 2023, I found movement. I found my location. I found water. Water that the Lord was holding, yet still nourishing me with slowly. Now, He’s pouring water on the seed that He created; Me. I am planted and producing.

Two days before I shot the Burgess & company commercial, I was bed ridden (for the countless time this year). Still God, my Dad kept repeatedly saying to me for the last two months, “launch the business.” I began to say, “I don’t have my license and everything in place,” and He said, “launch it.” I said “okay, Dad.” But right before I launched it, my body was hit so hard and I wondered why God? And it was to show His strength, His hand, His excellence, His brilliance, His genius. What could have taken me 2 or 3 years to launch, it took me 3 days.

Everything in my head while my body was weak and coming back to alignment, He showed me everything and began to download it before it happened precisely. The photographer, the videographer and the place to shoot. And right when I was at my end and said, “I could not do this, He sent my Mom to me to pray over me and break many things in our blood line. Then He sent me to my Aunt’s house and my Grandma, Aunt and Mom began to pray over me and pushed me forward. Yet, stumbling, struggling, I continued to “GO.” But two days before the shoot & the next day for the commercial, I woke up with no pain and I was amazed… He said “It’s time to launch it!” It was a miracle! His strength truly became perfect in my weakness and what seemed like a dream started become my reality. This very testimony, my Grandma said that I would speak…

So as I went to the shoot after the pain left, I didn’t have all of my strength. As I walked with so much in my hand in a rush, I said “man, I wish that I had some help” inside and as I landed in the studio, in comes a beautiful friend of mine and I began to praise God right in the studio. Because only God knows what we need before we ask.

And so as Mary and Joseph went, I love how as they obeyed the requirements and while they were in obedience, they were in the appointed spaces at the appointed time; which was all predestined by God. They were right in the place that they were supposed to be in. As they sacrificed what was required of them in Luke 2, they took Jesus where He was supposed to go and they followed the instruction of the Lord. Mary & Joseph did not know that while they were obeying, people were waiting on them. They had no idea that from their obedience and their yielding to the movement of God by His Spirit, someone else’s prophecy was fulfilled because of their obedience.

I thank God because scripture shows in Luke 2:25 and throughout the remainder of this chapter, Simeon was already in this place (Jerusalem), but Mary and Joseph’s obedience brought them there. The beautiful thing is, I’m seeing this all in my head… As soon as Simeon was moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. And when he saw Mary & Joseph, he began to praise God for the promises.  (Luke 2:27-28 NIV)

The Lord kept saying to me for months while I was enduring, “Get up and see what I’ve prepared for you” and He said something similar to Simeon. And to me, after I had warred and fought, I was thinking “what is all of this for?” Yet, Now, I am seeing the days that He promised me and this is not just it, there is more. But now it is birthed and this is what the Lord was trying to show me.

To many people, I am answered prayer. I am the one that they have been praying for. I am a word that God spoke into the earth and I am the promise that people have been waiting on according to what I am assigned to fulfill while I am here. The same is for you!

It’s something about when we are obeying, following instructions and in the right locations; people that we don’t even know have been waiting on us. Those who will be praising God walking up to us that the answer that we are to a problem in the earth can be resolved by what God put in us.

Like Mary after the baby grew, I thank God that out of all of the wonders of the Lord, I ponder it all in my heart. And I will see everything that was meant to be and just as the Lord told me while I was in DC, “It’s all about to make sense.”

As the chapter continues in Luke 2, Jesus said as His parents finally found Him, “did you not know that I must be about be my Father’s business? (Luke 2:49 NKJV). And as I grow, that is what it’s truly about. It’s amazing because God moved me to position me to birth something. Moved me to a location and my appointment with requirements; He moved to fulfill a prophecy and to fulfill His business.

So, Burgess & Company is God’s business. There is nothing that I could have done without moving by His Spirit. And while I am “Being” who God has created me to be, everything is “Moving.”

I am evidence of what’s it’s like to be “Moved By The Spirit of God.”

Prayer:

Thank you Father for your Spirit and your covering to lead us in our lives. Let us not see ourselves as above your Spirit, but let us align and be moved by your Spirit. Help us see you and how you move and give glory to the One who protects us, surrounds us and leads us into your perfect plan for our lives. Thank you that you never fail us and thank you that you will continue to lift us, raise us and will not allow nothing to get in the way; including delays. Thank you that every enemy present and forming is restricted and will not prosper as you move us. We honor you, love you, believe you and trust you, in Jesus Name, Amen.
